August was a good month for me. I started a new job as a Surgical Assistant at Associates in Oral and Maxiolofacial Surgery in Mankato. It is so nice to be able to bring home a decent paycheck again. School started for SUU, but because of some confusion, I have not yet started any of my classes. Soon though.
I was able to complete four goals this month. Wahoo! I have been trying to work on a few others along the way too. But here they are:
14. Work for a month without finding something to complain about.
15. Give up fast food for a month.
24. Give up soda for a week.
51. Keep a budget for a month.
More to come. More to come.
The mission: Complete 101 preset tasks in a period of 1001 days. The Criteria: Tasks must be specific (i.e. no ambiguity in the wording) with a result that is either measurable, or clearly defined. Tasks must also be realistic and stretching (i.e. represent some amount of effort on your part).

Updates for July 2010
Well, I just re-read my goals. I probably should have accomplished more, but July was a far more hectic month than I would have ever imagined. For details on the subject, click here!
And it looks like that is the only one that I successfully accomplished. However, August is looking pretty promising. I have quite a few goals in the works. For example: I started a new diet. I would love to lose those 40 pounds. But I think that will take longer than just August. I honestly do not remember the last time that I ate fast food. I think that it had to be on the move. If that is the case then August 6th will be a month off fast food! Morgan bought me a oil painting kit, and I have been painting quite a bit lately. The goal is to take a painting class, but I think that this is a good stride in that direction. I have started a budget for the month of August. However, the budget was created with the hope of an income. So we shall see how that pans out. Seth gave me his scooter. It's not a motorcycle, but it could be. I suppose. I will give this one more thought.
Minnesota has been a lot of fun. I honestly have not had too many opportunities to explore it as much as I want to. And I hope that the time will come for that.
Here is what July brought in regards to my goals.
38. Move out of Utah. Again.--Morgan and I moved out of Utah on July 5. It took us two days to accomplish the task. And I've been in Minnesota ever since!

A Month Later
Well it has been over a month since my last post...and I really don't have much to update on. Actually, just one. Here it is. 32. Hike the entire Kanarraville Falls trail. Morgan and I did that our last day together in Cedar City. I have posted pictures of the great hike here!
I promise that this next month will have more completed goals!

Another week...
Well, this week was not as productive as the last week in regards to my goals. But it was a great week non-the-less. I actually only accomplished one goal. Although I tried for a few others. Here is what went down:
27. Prepare and eat a meal from stuff I have grown: Today Morgan and I cooked a very delicious meal. We made pesto from basil that we have been growing for over a year. It was so so SO good! With the pesto we had grilled chicken, and garlic-cheese bread. Here are some pictures!

I tried and failed on a few others. My personal goal this week was to stop drinking soda...I slipped and had one. Oh well. It was only one. I also tried to shower everyday this week. I think I actually showered 5 times. I'm getting closer!

One week...
Lets see...It's been exactly a week since I finished my goal list, and I have three goals that I can cross off. I should prolly allow more time between posts. But I was excited to have some good goals to cross off! And here they are!
8. Learn how to make Haylee doggy treats: This was actually a lot of fun. I made her some banana-peanut butter treats. They look more like cookies...but she loves them anyways.
37. Get a job as a Surgical Tech: Yep, that's right! I am very very happy to cross off that goal! It will be so nice to be making money again. Sigh. I was just hired at Immanuel St. Joseph's Hospital in Mankato, Minnesota. I am excited.
42. Finish this goal list: Ohk...I admit. This one is pretty lame. But it was a goal that needed to be accomplished. And it has.
Three goals is a good start! I now have 98 left!
